Let's fight fire with fire

Fighting fire with fire is the only way to combat gun prohibition politicians who use inflammatory language, inaccurate facts and millions of dollars to convince voters that guns are evil and the cause of violent crime.

Let’s start with New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, founder and main donor of “Mayors Against Illegal Guns.” This anti constitutional group recruits Mayors across the country to toe the line with national gun disarmament, so that the politicians stay in control, and the people succumb.

Sadly, targeting and buying off national Mayoral support is not enough for billionaire Bloomberg. Desperate to stay relevant and disarm the public, Bloomberg is now funding the newly formed political action committee called Independence USA that will recruit any candidate or politician across the Nation who will enact gun control laws, he calls “sensible,” that operate in direct violation of our rights to sell, buy, own and carry firearms.

Making a call to “protect Americans from the scourge of gun violence” is an example of Bloomberg’s deformed view of the facts.  While it is true surveys conducted by the Census Bureau reveal an increase in violent crime last year, the first increase since 1993, violent crimes involving firearms or injury were roughly the same.

So, where is the scourge?  In places like Chicago, Illinois where sleuth gun bans are prevalent.

How do we stop him and others like him when the public is bombarded with emotional pleas and distorted truths all in an effort to disarm Americans?

We do it with repetitive truth telling, organizing and identifying candidates and politicians who truly believe in Constitutional rights, and actively supporting them over their gun prohibition counterparts.

Tell your friends, neighbors, co-workers, and family members that guns are not to be feared because the evidence says so.  Liberal gun rights, more often than not, keep neighborhoods safe from violent crime.  Conversely liberal gun control laws, more often than not, utterly fail to reduce violent crime rates.

One glaring reason for this dichotomy is that criminal minds do not follow the law anyway; they will terrorize, rob, and victimize others regardless of the law.  Whereas in places like Kennesaw, George where each head of household is required to own a gun, the crime rate is near non-existent.

Following and participating in local politics is one defense in keeping and maintaining our Second Amendment rights.  We start by creating gun clubs, lobbying local governments, and informing the public of the facts.

The bottom line is we must stay vigilant because our message is formidable and on the side of truth.

Currently 46 percent of Americans read their news on-line and this number is growing.  We can use this fact to our advantage.  An inexpensive way to interact with the public is by starting a pro Second Amendment word press blog, or becoming active at social media networks, such as Facebook and Twitter.

The best thing we can do this November is vote anti Second Amendment President Obama out of office.  He may claim to support Second Amendment rights, but actions speak louder than words.  The President is by no means pro Second Amendment, and I am not convinced he cares much about the U.S. Constitution at all.

With respect to gun rights, the difference between President Obama and Republican nominee for President, former Massachusetts governor W. Mitt Romney is that Romney has a history of negotiating with liberals to minimize gun control laws, whereas President Barack Obama has a history of endorsing and promoting liberals who support gun prohibition.

Politicians who hide behind gun hysteria as a reason for gun control are doing so to perpetuate their anti Constitution, disarmament agenda.  Don’t buy it!
