A store clerk in Mobile, Alabama, didn’t even need to fire a shot when he pulled his gun from under the counter to scare off a wannabe robber. Here’s the story:

MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) Mobile Police are searching for a man who unsuccessfully tried to rob a West Mobile gas station.

Police say a man armed with a handgun demanded money from the store clerk of the Over Ferry Food Mart Saturday night around 8:11.

That’s when police said the clerk tried to protect himself and pulled out his own weapon. The suspect ran from the store, headed west towards Cody Road.No one was hurt, and nothing was taken.

Police describe the suspect as a white male in his early 20s. He is 5’9 to 5’10 and weighs 180-200 pounds.

He was wearing a grey shirt, blue jeans and a blue ball cap.

A spokesperson for the police department says the suspect faces a first degree robbery charge when caught.
