Thug attempts to rob Texas church, almost meets God

Actually, considering what he was trying to do when he was shot, his was probably headed in the other direction:

At the Texas Oaks Baptist Church, the man responsible for providing the church’s security encountered another man leaving the storage shed, according to an arrest affidavit. He told the man, identified in the affidavit as Jesse Silva, 41, that he was armed and to stop.

Silva got into his vehicle and then swerved at the man, who fired about 10 shots toward the car, shattering the windshield and hitting Silva in the upper left chest, the affidavit says.

Facing a raft of charges including aggravated assault with a vehicle and burglary, it’s likely that Silva will have plenty of state-supervised time in which he can consider how to best atone for his sins and seek forgiveness.
