Ever wondered what might happen if you burned 28,000 rounds of ammunition in a bonfire?

Other than a lot of grown shooters crying, not all that much, which is precisely the point that SAAMI wanted a point to prove to firefighters about just how safe modern sporting ammunition is. The various ways they managed to mangle and murder ammunition without creating a gunshot is truly something to behold.

I wonder if my firefighting relatives knew this?
