Marissa Alexander pleads for bail before her retrial

Marissa Alexander wants bail before her next trial? If granted, how long do you think it will be before she violates the judge’s orders, yet again?

The Florida woman who was sentenced to 20 years in prison for firing a warning shot during a dispute with her husband will appear at a bail hearing Wednesday.

Marissa Alexander of Jacksonville, Fla., was convicted of aggravated assault in March 2012 and sentenced to 20 years behind bars. An appellate court in September granted the mother of three a new trial, which will begin next year.

The appeals court said the trial judge gave the jury incorrect instructions on self-defense.

Alexander was put in prison “for firing a warning shot”… if you are dumb enough to believe her supporters.

In reality, Alexander was put away because she left the scene of the confrontation, retrieved her weapon, and then returned to fire it towards her husband and his children from a previous relationship. She then violated a no-contact order and allegedly colluded with the him in an attempt to change his testimony, before getting arrested again for physically assaulting him again, this time without a firearm.

Based upon her track record or reckless disregard for the court, it would be surprising if the judge grants her bail, although stranger things have happened.
