Desperate Colorado Dems attempt to suppress "iPad Evie" Hudak recall

Colorado Democrats are so terrified that they’ll lose control of the state senate that they’re stooping to new lows in an attempt to stop the recall effort targeting State Sen. Evie Hudak. Allies of Hudak are putting out door hangers that suggest that recallers collecting signatures are criminals intent on identity theft.

For the first time on television, state Sen. Evie Hudak answered her critics in an interview with CBS4 Political Specialist Shaun Boyd.

Hudak is under fire and faces a possible recall over gun control, taxes, and what’s come out of her mouth. If she’s ousted, Republicans would take control of the state Senate.

The latest flap involves door hangers and robocalls that warn neighbors about paid petition gatherers who may be criminals. Hudak says she received one of the door hangers herself and insists she has nothing to do with the group behind them, but she didn’t condemn it either.

“Is this not a scare tactic?” Boyd asked Hudak.

“I don’t know, it depends on what you call scary. Some people would assert that what was contained in those was the truth,” she replied.

A reader asserts in the comments that Hudak’s “best friend” is behind the door hangers, but provides no evidence to support that claim.

Anti-Gun Democrat Governor John Hickenlooper is so terrified of the recall that he has told outside groups including Michael Bloomberg’s Mayors Against Illegal Guns (MAIG) to stay out of the recall. Outside gun control cultists outspent reformers on the Morse and Giron recalls 6-1 or more, and still suffered crushing defeats. Hickenlooper is apparently hoping that by keeping this “local” there will be less attention focused on the Hudak recall, and perhaps less participation in her district.

The recall effort needs to collect nearly 19,000 verified signatures to force the recall election.
