A murder of gun control groups have come together to proudly endorse the Hillary Clinton campaign. According to the coalition, Secretary Clinton has promised to be an advocate for “common sense solutions to gun violence.”

According to the coalition, Secretary Clinton and Governor Kaine have pledged their support for gun control legislation which includes:

  • Repealing the gun industry’s unique immunity protection
  • Revoking the licenses of bad-actor gun dealers
  • Keeping guns out of the hands of domestic abusers, other violent criminals, and the severely mentally ill
  • Supporting legislation to prohibit all domestic abusers from buying and possessing guns
  • Making straw purchasing a federal crime
  • Keeping military-style weapons off our streets

As if being a legal, law-abiding gun owner in America wasn’t difficult enough.

It’s not surprising these groups would favor Clinton. After all, she has made it very clear she would come after the Second Amendment.

“From the very outset of her campaign, Secretary Clinton has elevated the conversation on gun violence prevention to the national level. Again at the final presidential debate, she reaffirmed her support for the Second Amendment and reasonable regulations to keep Americans safe from gun violence,” the coalition said in a statement. “In stark contrast, Donald Trump has embraced the corporate gun lobby to a degree never seen in presidential elections.”

The coalition is made up of:

  • Newtown Action Alliance
  • States United to Prevent Gun Violence Action Fund
  • Art=Ammo Artists Against Gun Violence
  • CeaseFire Pennsylvania
  • Children’s Firearm Safety Alliance
  • Colorado Ceasefire Legislative Action
