Maryland: Homeowner Shoots and Kills Invader

Two suspects armed with baseball bats attempted to break into the home of a retired D.C. police officer on Easter Sunday. The would-be intruders banged on the front door and were confronted by the homeowner, armed with a handgun. When the two continued to make “aggressive movements”, the retired officer fired, killing one of the criminals.

The second suspect fled and was arrested early the next morning. Maryland has just passed restrictive gun legislation that will greatly limit the ability of law abiding citizens to defend themselves against multiple intruders.
