Another fine example of the D.C. criminal class attempts to rob a cop, with predictable results

In February, an Alexandria sheriff’s deputy fatally shot a burglar in his Fort Washington home.

In early October,  Marcus Young was shot in the stomach while trying to rob a plain-clothes officer.

Now Ashley Tomika McCrae is the latest low-life to collect a bullet for attempting to rob a D.C. area cop:

A southeast Washington woman will soon trade a hospital bed for a jail cell after she was shot while  allegedly trying to rob an off-duty police officer, Prince George’s County police said.

The victim, a Metropolitan Police Department officer, had just returned to his home in the 6000 block of Hope Drive in Prince George’s County when he was approached by a woman around 4:15 a.m. Sunday. Investigators say the suspect, who was armed with a shotgun, was shot by the homeowner after making demands.

They don’t have particularly intelligent criminals in the D.C. area, do they?
