Missouri appears to be the latest state considering a variation of the Firearms Freedom Act that “frees” gun owners from federal guns laws as long as their arms are manufactured and stay within the state.
…State Representative Chrissy Sommer, R-District 106, introduced a bill (HB 1164) in the House that would prevent the federal government from having any authority over guns manufactured and sold within the state boundaries of Missouri.
The bill further prohibits an emergency medical technician or a paramedic to be charged with firearms violations if they carry on the job, use the gun as part of the fulfillment of their duties, and possess a valid concealed carry license.
MB 1164 is part of the agenda for the new legislative session in Missouri in 2014.

You can follow the link to the summary of the bill. It is in line with variations of the same basic law passed in Kansas and Montana that the federal government immediately challenged, and it seems rather unlikely that federal courts will concede this power to the state, Tenth Amendment or not.
If Missouri’s law passes, expect the federal government to immediately file an injunction in federal court, starting a long legal battle.
