SARCASM ALERT: AKs are NOT Accurate!

Tactical Response Instructor Reid Hendrix used a properly built 7.62x39mm AKM to hit targets out to 350 yards in this short video, shooting standing and braced against a post, sighting through a simple red-dot scope, without magnification.

The rifle itself isn't anything special. While he misidentifies it in the video as a Rifle Dynamics AKM, James Yeager states in the comments that the rifle is an Arsenal.
The rifle itself isn’t anything special, just a solid factory-made AKM with a red-dot. While he misidentifies it in the video as a Rifle Dynamics AKM, James Yeager states in the comments that the rifle is an Arsenal.

It’s the kind of shot most guys won’t be able to hit regardless of their firearm, and shows that it’s the skill of the shooter that matters the most.

Hendrix is really pushing the 7.62×39 to the limits of its abilities, but could probably coax another 100 yards out of the platform if he was shooting an equally well made AK-74 in the flatter-shooting 5.45×39.
