I’d planned on closing up shop for the night, but then I stumbled across this song from Steven Martin… yes, that Steven Martin.

While most might know him as an actor and comedian, Martin is also a bluegrass banjo player with five Grammy awards to his credit. Most of you probably know of Edie Brickell from her pop success with the New Bohemians in the 1990s, or for her marriage to music legend Paul Simon.

Martin’s rakish character in “Pretty Little One” is an abusive and jilted ex with every intention of offing the woman who rejected his advances, while Brickell’s damsel-in-no-so-much-distress proves to be quite capable of being her own hero.
