Andre Green apparently amassed a criminal record of car thefts before graduating to carjacking and attempted murder last night. He died after he rammed a police car and then pulled a gun on officers.

Anti-police activists are intent on turning Green into the next Michael Brown:

Late Sunday night, 15 year old Andre Green was shot and killed by police in Indianapolis. He appears to be the youngest victim of police violence since 12 year old Tamir Rice was shot and killed by police in Cleveland this past November.

Green was a “victim” of “police violence” according to left-wing blogger Shaun King, but as is so often the case when “Dindu Nuffin” is involved, reality is another story entirely.

One person was shot and killed by IMPD officers on the northeast side Sunday night.

The person’s family says the teen killed is 15-year-old Andre Green.

Shots were fired around 11:15 p.m. at 34th & Butler. Three officers were involved.

The officers were following a car from a carjacking earlier in the night when the suspect turned down Butler Avenue then turned around, started heading toward police and actually rammed a police cruiser in the driver’s side, according to an IMPD spokesperson.

Officers say that’s when several passengers took off running and police ordered the driver out of the car. He drove toward them, so they fired fearing for the lives.

“We can say with confidence that officers were faced with aggression and they met that aggression head-on,” said IMPD Ofc. Chris Wilburn.

He said the entire situation was and still is quite traumatic for the officers.

“They are in shock physiologically,” Wilburn said. “They are coming off of this physiological high in that their bodies have had a huge adrenaline dump. But they acted in a professional manner. No other lives were lost as a result of this and no officers were injured.”

Police records show Andre Green has a history of running away from home and car thefts.

Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene where investigators found him with a firearm in his hand.

You’ll note that the car Andre Green carjacked struck a police cruiser on the driver’s side door, which is attempted murder and attempted vehicular homicide.

Green then pulled a handgun, and was shot at close range by three officers. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the gun still in his hand.

“Black Lives Matter” cultists, fresh out of victims to exploit, are hoping to try to turn Green’s death into the next target for outrage. They hold the absurd view that a person with a gun in their hands should somehow be given leeway based upon their (unknown) age, instead of their violent actions.

It’s an absurd position, assuming that a bullet fired from a teen’s gun is less dangerous than the bullet fired from an adult using a similar firearm. It’s a pathetic attempt to claim that law enforcement officers do not have a right to defend themselves.

Activists like Shaun King and the communists driving the “Black Lives Matter” cult do not care about the basic human right to self-defense, and would insist that it doesn’t apply to police, or as the George Zimmerman trial proved, to average citizens, either.

Bizarrely, they insist that the state (in the form of police) will murder you without remorse, and yet they insist on passing draconian gun control laws and forcing you to cede your liberty and safety to the same government.

I’ll be keeping my guns and my freedom. Shaun King and his pro-criminal cult can turn in their guns any time they desire.
