March Madness: Wiltjer Commits Major Foul on Morrison

Gonzaga University senior player Kyle Wiltjer joined the “Pardon My Take” podcast which aired today, which isn’t big news in and of itself, especially given the current time of year.

But while Wiltjer planned to dish on March Madness, his A-game fell flat at the buzzer – earning him a foul for his response to a question from the host.

When asked who Wiltjer would compare himself to, “a rich man’s Adam Morrison or a poor man’s Christian Laettner?”, his response went completely out of bounds. The senior launched into a cringe-worthy explanation of his answer:

“Oh, man… I would have to say… okay, so I’ll actually tell you a story, I’m actually friends with Adam Morrison, he actually still lives in Spokane. If you know the guy, I don’t want to compare myself with him because the guy. Let me give you an example of this, the guy, so let me give you a brief example of this: the guy is fully equipped if there was an apocalypse. He’s got food stationed away. Everything. He could survive everything. …Yeah, he’s got guns, everything. A bunker. Everything.”

“So I don’t think I can compare myself to him ’cause I know all that stuff, so I’m gonna go with the Christian Laettner.”

While he hasn’t directly seen any of this for himself, Wiltjer points to the root of why he thinks Adam Morrison has a stockpile of guns, food and supplies:

“He thinks something’s going down with politics or something, because if you ever ask him a political question, you will get a great answer,” Wiltjer said. “He thinks everyone is corrupt, basically.”
