When three men went to the McNeil Farms condo complex with the intent to rob residents, they had no idea their lives would be irrevocably changed before the night would end.

Nathaniel Easley, 24, was shot by an unknown resident as he Khomary Rand, 23 and Deshawn Lovejoy, 26 were carrying out a home invasion robbery.

Rand and Lovejoy left Easley, who suffered at least one gunshot wound, and fled the condominium complex around 7:00PM. Police found Eastly bleeding in the middle McAndrews Way when they arrived at the scene. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

MyFox28 reported:

Officers arrested Rand and Lovejoy near the crime scene after witnesses gave police a description of car fleeing the scene, and an officer spotted the vehicle “driving very erratically to elude being caught,” detectives wrote in court documents.

Records show Rand and Lovejoy, both of Columbus, have been charged with murder in Franklin County Municipal Court and were arraigned on Friday.

Investigators have not identified the identity of the resident who shot and killed Eastly.

Very glad to see authorities in Columbus holding criminal’s accomplices responsible for murder rather than going after a homeowner defending their property and their own lives.
