Orlando Terror Attack

After SWAT teams breached the wall of Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida, yesterday morning they quickly brought their Heckler & Koch UMP submachine guns to bear on the radical Islamist terrorist* waiting near a door and cut him down in a hail of bullets.

They then rescued approximately 30 people who had been trapped inside the club, and carried out the wounded.

They were then left in silence, except for the buzzing and chimes from countless cell phones who’s owners would never answer another call.

The Islamist terror attack carried out Orlando yesterday was the second-worst terrorist attack in the United States since 9/11, and the deadliest ever with firearms.

Sadly, it’s not the worst we will see. It’s going to get much, much worse.

In September of 2004, 385 were killed and 783 were murdered by Islamist Chechen terrorists in an attack on a school in  Beslan, North Ossetia.

The Mumbai terror attacks were coordinated attacks by nine Islamic terrorists over four days in November of 2008. 166  people were killed. 600+ were injured.

On Saturday 21 September 2013, four Islamist terrorists who had pre-staged their weapons attacked the upscale Westgate Mall in Nairobi, Kenya. 63 people were killed, and 175 were wounded. The casualties would have been much higher, if an off-duty SAS (Special Air Service) commando, (pictured above), and another former SAS commando and an Irish Ranger had not organized shell-shocked police and returned numerous times to rescue more than two hundred souls.

American counter-terrorism experts know that such an attack or series of attacks is coming here, and they are adamant that we are not remotely ready for this kind of attack.

American police are not trained nor equipped to counter this sort of terrorism. Our leaders and in denial, and have refused to pay for the training and equipment they need.

Soft targets—shopping malls, theaters, schools, stadiums, concert halls, and clubs—have been attacked by untrained or poorly-trained individuals and have created incredible (to Americans) casualties.

When a trained terrorist cell from Hamas, or Hezbollah, or ISIS, or al Qaeda, or another group that has walked over our undefended southern border finally launches one or more coordinate attacks, you’re going to see carnage and fear that we’ve never seen in the United States.

You’re going to see shell-shocked police reinforced by federal law enforcement and civilians with their own weapons and gear holding the line and fighting the fight the best they can until the military—Posse Comitatus Act be damned—rushes in Delta Force or DEVGRU or SAD/SOG to do what must be done to taken the terrorists down violently.

Sadly, its going to take the loss of several hundred lives before politicians and the media are forced to acknowledge the folly of soft targets and so-called “gun free zones” that have been the scene of nearly every major mass casualty attack.

Your politicians screaming for “more gun control” behind a phalanx of police and bodyguards after the attack have no interest in defending your life, only exploiting your death for their political gain.

Deny them.

Fight against gun free zones, seek out good training, and always carry. The best hope you will have if such an attack happens to you is a concealed weapon, good defensive handgun training and the will to defend your life.
