Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has shown disdain for law enforcement officers for three decades, and as we close in on the Democratic National Convention, her spiteful behavior towards the “thin blue line” is only getting worse.
Good morning, ma’am,” a member of the uniformed Secret Service once greeted Hillary Clinton.
“F*** off,” she replied.
That exchange is one among many that active and retired Secret Service agents shared with Ronald Kessler, author of First Family Detail, a compelling look at the intrepid personnel who shield America’s presidents and their families — and at those whom they guard.
Kessler writes flatteringly and critically about people in both parties.
Regarding the Clintons, Kessler presents Chelsea as a model protectee who respected and appreciated her agents. He describes Bill as a difficult chief executive, but an easygoing ex-president. And Kessler exposes Hillary as an epically abusive Arctic monster.
“When in public, Hillary smiles and acts graciously,” Kessler explains. “As soon as the cameras are gone, her angry personality, nastiness, and imperiousness become evident.” He adds: “Hillary Clinton can make Richard Nixon look like Mahatma Gandhi.”
Kessler went on to note that Clinton has serially abused her Secret Service protective detail over three decades, and that Clinton was so vicious towards agents in the one the nation’s most elite law enforcement organizations that being assigned to her protective service is seen as a punishment detail.
Almost anyone can be a charmer when the cameras are on and they know people are scrutinizing every move, but as legendary basketball coach John Wooden famously noted, character is revealed by who you are when no one is looking.
It has been an open secret in state and federal circles that Hillary Clinton is nothing more or less than a monster to law enforcement officers and military servicemen. This was true when Arkansas State Troopers had to deal with her as the First Lady of Arkansas when Bill Clinton was governor there, and federal law enforcement agents learned to deal with her contempt as she was by turns First Lady, former First Lady, Secretary of State, and now the Democrat Presidential candidate.
Clinton is now piling on her disdain for law enforcement and civil society by inviting the mothers of criminals and cop haters to speak at the Democrat National Convention.
Among the sainted moms of the Black Lives Matter movement who will speak on Hillary Clinton’s behalf are Gwen Carr, mother of Eric Garner; Sybrina Fulton, mother of Trayvon Martin; Maria Hamilton, mother of Dontre Hamilton; Lucia McBath, mother of Jordan Davis; Lesley McSpadden, mother of Michael Brown; Cleopatra Pendleton-Cowley, mother of Hadiya Pendleton; and Geneva Reed-Veal, mother of Sandra Bland.
Each of these cases lumped under supposedly unjustified gun violence and systemic racism is complicated and distinct. For starters, Bland hanged herself when her friends and family wouldn’t bail her out of jail after she had kicked a police officer. Two of the “children” involved in police shootings (Brown and Hamilton) had assaulted cops during their fatal encounters.
Sybrina Fulton’s illegal gun-dealing, drug-abusing son Trayvon Martin attacked George Zimmerman from behind and was shot as he attempted to beat Zimmerman to death. Maria Hamilton’s son Dontre attacked a police officer with a baton, striking him in the neck, forcing the officer to open fire in self defense.
Then we have Lesley McSpadden.
McSpadden is the mother of the most infamous strongarm robbery suspect and attempted cop-killer of the last decade, Michael Brown.
Ferguson (MO) police officer Darren Wilson attempted to talk to Brown after he realized Brown matched the description of a strongarm robbery suspect. Michael Brown responded by attacking Wilson in his police SUV, and attempting to take Wilson’s gun. Wilson managed to fight Brown off and shot Brown in the hand, which momentarily convinced Brown to back off. Brown began to flee, but when Officer Wilson called for him to halt and surrender, the NFL lineman-size Brown charged Wilson in a murderous rage. A battered Wilson opened fire in self-defense, finally killing Brown with a fatal shot through the head from just feet away as Brown lowered his head in a bull-rush.
McSpadden had every right to be upset over the loss of her son, but she went beyond being upset to allegedly violently robbing people selling “Justice for Mike Brown” merchandise. Felony charges against MsSpadden for armed robbery were considered, but were apparently decided against out of political expediency.
By legitimizing and elevating the mothers of two attempted cop killers and an attempted murderer of a neighborhood watch volunteer to the role of even minor speakers, Hillary Clinton has sent a clear message to law enforcement that she values the lives of violent criminals far more than she values the lives of police.
Clinton invites the families of criminals to speak, but once again ignores the sacrifices of law enforcement officers, even after the last few bloody weeks of of Black Lives Matter domestic terrorism. This fact was not lost on the President of the Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police John McNesby, who knows an intentional insult when he sees one.
FOP INSULTED BY EXCLUSION OF POLICE WIDOWS
President John McNesby and the membership of Philadelphia Lodge 5 FOP are shocked and saddened by the planned choice of speakers at the upcoming DNC in Philadelphia.
The Fraternal Order of Police is insulted and will not soon forget that the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton are excluding the widows, and other family members of Police Officers killed in the line of duty who were victims of explicit, and not implied racism, and “being on duty in blue.”
It is sad that to win an election Mrs. Clinton must pander to the interests of people who do not know all the facts, while the men and women they seek to destroy are outside protecting the political institutions of this country.
Mrs. Clinton, you should be ashamed of yourself if that is possible.
Hillary Clinton has shown nothing but contempt for law enforcement officers since her days in Arkansas, and is clearly showing her hatred of police now by throwing her support behind the families of violent criminals who targeted police officers.
In a nation where law enforcement is under siege from criminals and domestic terrorists, we can’t afford to have someone with her values become President of the United States, or we will be “united” no more.
