MySA has more, suggesting that the suspect may have given up because a woman and child were in vehicle when SWAT officers closed in:
San Antonio police have arrested a suspect in the fatal ambush shooting of SAPD Det. Benjamin Marconi, according to a police source.
A SWAT team pulled over a vehicle on Interstate 10 East near Ackerman Road around 4:20 p.m. and made the arrest. A female and child also were inside the vehicle, the source said.
