We are saddened to hear that Richard “Mack” Machowicz has passed away after a long battle with cancer, which he was diagnosed with in 2015.

Richard “Mack” Machowicz was a fan favorite on the shows “Deadliest Warrior” and “Future Weapons.” Richard was the host of “Future Weapons” on Discovery. Before he began spending his time on television, he spent 10 years serving as a U.S. Navy SEAL.

Richard was a warrior, both in battle and in life. We are very sad to hear that Richard passed after suffering from stage four brain cancer, although he did not give up without a fight. He was diagnosed in October of 2015 with cancer, which later turned out to become stage four brain cancer, and he continued to live his life for over a year after that was revealed.

I was a big fan of “Future Weapons,” and the credibility Mack brought the show as a veteran of two SEAL teams.

He will be greatly missed.
