Justin Andrew Roberts, 23, of Killeen, TX, may not be the brightest bulb in the pack, but the lightbulb sure lit up for him when a local couple opened his eyes to just who he was messing with.

Roberts had been welcome and staying with the couple in their home, but had been told it was time to hit the road. According to an affidavit, “(The husband) told the suspect he needed to move out of their house because of his drug use. The suspect became upset and pulled the handgun and pointed it at (the husband).”

After pointing his firearm at (the husband), he then threatened to kill both the husband and the wife.

That’s when the husband pulled his gun and told the unwanted houseguest to give up his weapon. The 23 year old complied and police arrived at the couple’s apartment on Castellon Court Thursday to arrest Roberts.

He was arraigned on two charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon with bail set at $100,000 and an additional $3,000 bond for assault causing bodily injury.

Just goes to show you that you never know where a potential threat could come from. Also makes you think twice about being a host to anyone in your home.
