Vince Vaughn

“I support people having a gun in public full stop, not just in your home,” Vaughn told GQ in 2015. “We don’t have the right to bear arms because of burglars; we have the right to bear arms to resist the supreme power of a corrupt and abusive government. It’s not about duck hunting; it’s about the ability of the individual. It’s the same reason we have freedom of speech.”

Julianne Moore

“The Second Amendment protects the right of a United States citizen to bear arms,” Moore wrote in an April 2016 issue of Lenny Letter. “But a gun is a machine. And if you choose to bear arms, you have a responsibility to bear them safely.”

Susan Sarandon

“How much more suffering & loss will it take before we better regulate the sale of arms in our country?” Sarandon tweeted in 2012. “Let @NRA know how you feel.”

Brad Pitt

“America is a country founded on guns. It’s in our DNA. It’s very strange but I feel better having a gun. I really do,” Pitt told The Daily Mail in 2012. “I don’t feel safe, I don’t feel the house is completely safe, if I don’t have one hidden somewhere. That’s my thinking, right or wrong.”

Steven Spielberg (via Shia LaBouf)

“He (Spielberg) has the most ridiculous collection,” LaBeouf told GQ Magazine. “He’s got a gun for every movie he’s made. He buys old Perazzi guns, Italian—beautiful, beautiful guns—and gets them engraved. It takes like a year. He’s got the Jaws gun; he’s got E.T. He let me shoot with the Jurassic Park gun. He just got his Saving Private Ryan back from the engraver’s.”

Samantha Bee

“It turned out the organization that makes it easier to get a gun than Sudafed, makes it nearly impossible to acquire their giant dancing eagle,” Bee said of the NRA during a segment of her TBS show, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee.

Johnny Depp

“We would just go out and line up a bunch of cans and shoot with rifles, handguns and at times, submachine guns,” the actor said, speaking about his childhood. “When I was a kid it was a controlled atmosphere, we weren’t shooting at humans—we were shooting at cans and bottles mostly. I will most certainly take my kids out for target practice.”

Jeremy Renner

“I like guns now, but I have only a couple—a couple at this structure and one at another,” he told Playboy last year. “I got good at them, and then I found a love for them.” The Avengers star also commented on gun control via his blog in 2013, saying, “Taking guns from people is no answer. I own guns and want to keep it that way. But guns don’t kill people… people kill people.”

Eric Clapton

“I built a gunroom that can house a certain amount of guns, and now I have to clear the decks for the new guns I have on order,” the rocker said in a 2008 interview. “It’s following the same pattern as when I collected guitars, cars and watches. I start out with a fairly broad spectrum, get obsessed and engulfed, and finally narrow the collections down.”

Josh Gad

“I feel like I live in a bizarro world when I hear people denying the need for background checks,” Gad tweeted in January. “WTF.”

Angelina Jolie

“I bought original, real guns of the type we used in Tomb Raider for security,” the actress said in a Daily Mail interview. “Brad and I are not against having a gun in the house, and we do have one. And yes, I’d be able to use it if I had to. I could handle myself. If anybody comes into my home and tries to hurt my kids, I have no problem shooting them.”

Sean Penn

“Being provoked by this aforementioned strong woman and considering how liberating of bullshit and ugliness it would be [to] not only get rid of the guns I have in the continental United States but also to destroy them, Jeff Koons and I had a chat the other day,” the actor said in an interview after his girlfriend Charlize Theron convinced him to get rid of his guns. “The highest bidder gets every single one of my guns put in the hands of this iconic artist and sculptor…Koons will decommission [and] render inactive all of my cowardly killing machines.”

Bruce Willis

“Everyone has a right to bear arms. If you take guns away from legal gun owners, then the only people who have guns are the bad guys.” Willis also said, “I think that you can’t start to pick apart anything out of the Bill of Rights without thinking that it’s all going to become undone. If you take one out or change one law, then why wouldn’t they take all your rights away from you?”

Robert Downey, Jr.

“I don’t think I’m allowed to have a gun anymore. They took it. I think I deserve to have it back when my probation is over,” the actor said in an interview with Details magazine. “It’s not like I did anything with the gun except pretend that I was skilled in its use.”

Chris Pratt

An August 2014 article in Esquire revealed “Pratt talks about his thirty- or forty-gun arsenal. He bought Faris a gun in the event that a crazy person comes to their house while he’s in Louisiana and necessitates her ‘blowing their f**king brains out.'”

But don’t worry – even if your favorite (lol) celebrity said something stupid on this list, take heart: there’s a pretty good chance you can still see him or her in their next blockbuster film, lighting up the screen with grins and guns.
