Following a domestic incident involving his girlfriend and landlord Monday, the Washington County Sheriff’s Department have issued warrants on 50-year-old Billy Little for malicious wounding and attempted malicious wounding.
It seems Little Billy got into an argument with his girlfriend in which he pulled a knife and cut the woman at a residence in the 16000 block of Harmony Way around 1:30 a.m.
At some point during the argument with his girlfriend, Little was confronted by his landlord and they also began to argue. That’s when Little decided to upgrade his weapon.
Police say Little put down his knife and attempted to attack his landlord with a sledgehammer.
Oh, but by the hammer of Thor, little Billy didn’t know that his opponent held a more effective tool: a gun.
The landlord, 67-year-old Alfred Robbins, pulled out his handgun and shot his tenant, swiftly ending his reign of assault.
“Preliminary indications are that the shooting appears to have been an act of self-defense,” Major Byron Ashbrook said.
While his girlfriend refused medical treatment for her injuries, Little was flown to Bristol Regional Medical Center where he was listed in serious condition.
You know, we talk a lot about how it’s a good idea for people like realtors and second shift workers to be armed for their protection, but absolutely landlords fall into that category as well.
I’m glad the woman is alright and thrilled an armed citizen, another good guy with a gun, was there to stop the attack!
