Massachusetts Sen. Anthony W. Petruccelli has proposed S. 1224, to establish a joint committee between Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and other actors to study the feasibility of putting GPS locators in firearms.
A government that wants all firearms tracked is going to be viewed with immediate suspicion by the citizenship, and with good reason: there is no legitimate reason to track all firearms belonging to law-abiding citizens in a free state.
The most obvious reason for GPS tracking of firearms is their confiscation.
What justifies such a study, Senator Petruccelli?
We’re sure your freedom-loving constituents would like to know.
