A Hamilton resident shot and killed a man who stabbed him during a robbery Thursday night, police said.

A 44-year-old man was found shot to death 11 p.m. inside 1860 Parrish Ave., said Hamilton Police Sgt. Ed Buns.

He is accused of trying to rob the resident, 38, who was found on the front porch with three stab wounds to the neck.

The resident was taken to West Chester Hospital, where he remains this morning, police said.

The men’s names will not be released until later this morning, once their relatives have been notified, Buns said.

The resident’s mother called 911, according to a recording of the call, released this morning.

“My son just called and told me he’d been stabbed,” she said. “… He needs help. There’s blood all over him.”

Detectives are still investigating, but it appears the men are the only ones involved in the attack.

“There is not a suspect,” Buns said. “The two parties involved were the two parties involved.”
