Is Carpetbagger Terry McAuliffe trying to bring Bloomberg's gun control to Virginia?

Nothing should terrify you more than when Politico seems to bless a meeting of their favored sons:

Democratic Virginia gubernatorial hopeful Terry McAuliffe recently met with New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg in an effort to get support from the billionaire politician, two sources familiar with the meeting told POLITICO.

The pair met in New York a week-and-a-half ago, according to the sources. Aides to McAuliffe declined comment, and a Bloomberg spokesman did not respond to an email asking about the meeting.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether McAuliffe was seeking an endorsement from Bloomberg — who has billed himself as an independent and whose backing has been helpful to candidates in some places in the Northeast, like Rhode Island — or whether he hoped for financial support.

They’re kidding, right?

McAuliffe is a self-made millionaire; if he’s meeting with Bloomberg, he’s doing so in order to talk about how the two New Yorkers (McAuliffe is from Syracuse) can force something akin to the NY SAFE Act down the throats of Virginia gun owners if elected.

McAuliffe—who calls himself a “gun owner” since he purchased on in January at the age of 55 after deciding to run for governor—has a “F” rating from the National Rifle Association.

If he is elected, expect McAuliffe to do everything within his power to gut the Second Amendment.
