Last week, Secretary Hillary Clinton attended a private fundraiser in New York City, at the home of John Zaccaro, a felon convicted of selling cocaine to an undercover cop.
During her remarks, Clinton criticized the Supreme Court on the Second Amendment, saying it’s imperative to take on the NRA.
I do not believe the NRA represents gun owners. They sure don’t represent the majority of Americans. But they have so intimidated elected members of Congress and other legislative bodies that these people are passing the most absurd laws.
Hey Hillary. The NRA has over five MILLION members. That’s MILLIONS of people who disagree with you. And guess what? We’re not going to back down. We’re not going to let someone like you trample on our Constitutional right to own firearms.
The NRA hasn’t intimidated legislators. They’ve advocated for their members. You’re a fan of unions and all. It’s the same principle. The difference is you don’t agree with us on this issue.
The idea that you could have an open carry permit with an AK-47 over your shoulder, walking up and down the aisles of a supermarket is just despicable.
I live in rural Idaho, one of the most conservative, gun-loving areas in the country. We have Constitutional carry here, meaning you can open or conceal carry without a permit. I have never seen anyone open carry an AK-47. In fact, most of the guns I’ve seen that are open carried are handguns. Not a rifle.
“Hillary Clinton just doesn’t get it,” said Chris Cox, the executive director of NRA-ILA. “The NRA’s strength lies in our five million members and the tens of millions of voters who support the Second Amendment. A majority of Americans support this freedom, and the Supreme Court was absolutely right to hold that the Second Amendment guarantees the fundamental, individual right to keep and bear arms.”
