The Black Lives Matters movement has decided to respond to Dana Loesch’s controversial NRA ad in which she condemns violence. According to BLM activists, NRA members are a bunch of white supremacists whose goal in life is to oppress African Americans. Of course, the ad also targets law enforcement officers and makes them out to be horrible people.
To shoot Philando Castile, Charleena Lyles, Kisha Michael, Keith Bursey and Wakiesha Wilson until the only option left is for black people to disrupt the systems that keep us oppressed and build the kinds of communities in which we want to live. And when that happens, they’ll use it as an excuse to kill more of us.
Are they delusional? I mean seriously. No officer wants to have to shoot anyone. No officer wants to put him or herself in harm’s way. When they have to draw their weapon they’re not just risking the other person’s life, they’re also risking their own.
The only way to stop this, the only way we save our communities and our struggle for freedom is to fight this violence with a raised clenched fist of black resistance.
We are Black Lives Matter and we are freedom’s future place.
I love how clever they try to be with this whole ad. They’re trying to mock the NRA by filming in front of a blue and black screen and using similar language to the NRA’s “Freedom’s Safest Place” campaign.
The problem with their logic? Freedom doesn’t mean destroying your hometown and looting like a crazy banshee. Freedom means having your God-given rights protected. Freedom means protecting your rights in a peaceful manner.
Every leftist organization can call and demand the NRA removes the ad’s produced by Dana Loesch and Grant Stinchfield, but guess what? Just like you have the First Amendment right to produce videos with your point of view, so does the NRA.
