Comcast Drops All Gun-Related Ads from Cable Network

Comcast announced it’s dropping all gun-related ads from its nationwide cable network. The change in policy comes after acquiring NBC Universal, which has a longstanding policy against such ads.

Tom Wright, owner of Williams Gun Sight in Davison Township, Michigan, found out the hard way:


“Consistent with long standing NBC policies, Comcast Spotlight has decided it will not accept new advertising for firearms or weapons moving forward. This policy aligns us with the guidelines in place at many media organizations.”
