Authorities have released photos of the shotgun that Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain used to commit suicide.

The Auto 5 was patented by John Browning in 1900, and was in production for nearly 100 years. It has since been supplanted by the A5, a completely new shotgun that borrows only the name and the distinctive “hump” from the original. Versions of the gun were made under several names by Browning, Remington, and Savage.
