Well, mine has zero chance of getting produced since it qualifies as an NFA item, so I don’t mind sharing what I’d like to see.
I’d like to see a 10/22 receiver manufactured with a picatinny rail, a crisp trigger with a glass-break around 4.5 lbs with a short but distinct reset, a paddle mag release, auto-bolt release, and something similar to a Hogue Overmolded stock with a second front sling swivel stud for a bipod, and a GI loop sling.
The biggest difference (other than the marginal upgrades above) would be an integrally-suppressed 16″-18″ barrel.
Actually, I could see two versions of this, one with the picatinny rail, the other built from the ground up to use Tech-Sights.
Why the two variants?
The version with the picatinny rail would probably end up topped with a PFI Evolution 22LR as a suppressed small game rifle.
The version with the Tech-Sights would be used to teach new shooters that have sound sensitivity issues, as a suppressed Liberty Training Rifle.
What would you build? Tell Ruger at their contest site, and let us know in the comments!
