Claim: Beretta nixed offer to move to Michigan because of anti-gun records of Stabenow and Levin

First comes the shame of failure, and then comes the naming of names:

If you know anything about guns, you immediately recognize the brand name “Beretta.” The Maryland firm was being courted to move to Michigan.

Was.

Sen. Rick Jones (R-Grand Ledge) is always up to something and in the midst of the anti-gun debate following one of the shootings at a school, he fired-off a letter to every gun maker he could think of suggesting that Michigan is gun-friendly and would welcome the companies to put a stake in the ground around here.

His letter to Beretta produced a firm, no thanks.

Seems the gun guys there have a litmus test. “We consider first the consistency with which a given State has supported Second Amendment rights” and how many times has somebody sued the industry “in a misguided attempt to blame guns for criminal misconduct.”

State Senator Jones put the blame squarely at the feet of Michigan’s anti-gun U.S. Senators Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow.

As you sow, so shall you reap..
