Bloomberg Defunds Moms Demand Action, Claiming "I Thought I Was Paying For Something Else"

Billionaire Michael Bloomberg announced today that he is defunding the gun prohibitionist group, Moms Demand Action for Gunsense in America.

A self-made man well known for his business sense and founder/primary financial supporter of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, Bloomberg claims that never intended to fund a redundant second gun control organization.

“When I started giving them money, I thought I was paying for… something else,” the former Mayor of New York conceded.

“It’s not exactly a secret that I enjoying bossing people around, and ‘Moms Demand Action’ always did precisely what I told them, every time,” Bloomberg continued. “Mark Glaze [Director, Mayors Against Illegal Guns) assured me that their ignorant, beyond bossy gun fetishization was simply ‘their thing.'”

“Not that I didn’t enjoy it as well,” he hastened to add.

As a visibly embarrassed Bloomberg left the stage, Mark Glaze, Director of MAIG, stepped forward to the podium to note that Bloomberg “simply and logically assumed” that something called “Moms Demand Action” was “a certain kind of group.”

Glaze appeared to be about to say something else, when the press conference abruptly ended as Bloomberg yanked on the leash attached to Glaze’s gimp suit.

Shannon Watts, Founder of Moms Demand Action, could not be reached for comment.
