A team of 4-5 suspects stole more than 90 firearms after using a stolen truck to smash through the barred windows of a Plano, Texas gun shop early Wednesday morning.
Yesterday we reported that dozens of weapons were stolen from Mister Guns in Plano during an early Wednesday smash-and-grab. Today the Plano Police Department says 93 firearms were stolen during the robbery. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the National Shooting Sports Foundation are also offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible: $10,000.
According to the video, the burglary occurred at 2:37 a.m. Wednesday; Plano police were dispatched at 3:42 a.m. (Police say it’s possible, if not likely, the time stamp in the video is an hour behind.) Today, police say the truck was stolen just before the burglary from a nearby apartment complex. It was recovered after the smash-and-grab a couple of blocks from the scene of the crime, where the four (or, possibly, five) suspects ditched it after the burglary.
As we reported yesterday, the stolen weapons include everything from revolvers to assault rifles.
The ATF is leading the investigation, and is being assisted by the Plano Police Department, which just released the video you see above. (There is a longer version of the video, but police have not yet released it in its entirety.)
I’m sure that there are people in the criminal community in Texas who know precisely who these criminals are, and where the weapons can be found.
Which one of them is going to cash in first?
