Hillary Clinton’s campaign sent out a letter asserting that she was running against the NRA in the 2016 elections via her allies at the left-wing political blog, the Daily Kos.
I wonder how many of them know or care that she’s blatantly lying to them.
Subject: Hey, let’s take on the NRA
Friend — Columbine. Sandy Hook. Charleston. Every time our nation endures another mass shooting, we come together to pray for the families affected — but we owe them much more than prayer. Tragedies like these aren’t acts of God; they’re acts of men, and it’s our responsibility to prevent them.
Hey, I need you with me on this. Sign your name if you agree it’s time to stand up to the NRA and the gun manufacturers it represents.
Taking on the gun lobby will be tough, but I’m ready for this fight. We need to close legal loopholes like the one that led to the shooting in Charleston, we need to fight for comprehensive background checks to keep guns out of the wrong hands — and we need to hold manufacturers and gun dealers accountable when they break the rules.
About 33,000 Americans die every year because of gun violence. Our loved ones are dying, and we can do something about it. A movement of people calling for progress — and a president willing to wage this fight — can make a difference.
Are you with me? Add your name right now to say you’re ready to take on the NRA and fight for comprehensive gun violence prevention:
Add your name if you agree we have to take on gun violence in America
Thank you,
Hillary
Charleston didn’t happen because of “loopholes.” Charleston happened because of a data entry error in South Carolina, and a failure of the ATF to do their damn jobs.
Comprehensive or “universal” background checks are a scam designed to create an illegal government gun registry and prevent people from obtaining firearms safety training.
Gun dealers have always been accountable when they’ve broken laws.
2/3s of firearms fatalities in the United States are suicides, not “gun violence.” There were just 8,124 criminal homicides with firearms in the United States in 2014, which is part of a slow but steady long-term decline that began in the 1990s, even has gun ownership has doubled, expanding widely across social, racial, chronological, and even economic lines.
“Gun violence” is a myth, and Hillary Clinton is running on demonstrable lies.
That is a tremendous risk for her to take.
You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time, but Hillary Clinton seems to think she can fool Democrats for a full year before the elections and not have them find out about her intentional deceptions and be outraged at her attempts at emotional manipulation.
Good luck with that, Mrs. Clinton.
