Gun control supporters keep telling us that we don’t “need” semiautomatic rifles like AR-15s, nor the skills to use them.

Their uneducated opinions are frankly worthless.

A basic AR-15 carbine, with a 30-round magazine of common 55-grain .223 ammunition in the hands of a competently trained shooter could have left us with a very different outcome to this story, with authorities attempting to ID the killed and injured criminals instead of on a frantic search for a missing boy who was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Update: The boy was recovered, unharmed.
