Black Lives Matter Terrorists and Craven Prosecutors Are Going To Get Us Killed

Great job, Tulsa County (OK)  District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler!

Your rushed and craven Nifong-esque political prosecution of Tulsa Police Officer Betty Shelby—filed before the police investigation was complete or Crutcher’s toxicology screen was run—for the justifiable shooting of PCP addict Terence Crutcher to avoid threats of rioting just days after the shooting is causing a ripple effect across law enforcement agencies nationwide.

Officers are now so scared to defend themselves for fear of being attacked by anti-police radicals and craven prosecutors that they’d rather die at the hands of a violent drug addict than save their own lives.

Parta Huff, 28, was charged Friday with attempted murder of a police officer after admitting in court to the attack.

A police officer and her partner were on patrol Wednesday when they witnessed a car crash. Seeing a man, who they say was Huff, leave the scene, they followed, according to police.

Video released by police shows officers yelling commands at Huff, who appeared not to follow the orders.

“A subject who was under the influence of PCP attacked the female officer, viciously pounded her head into the street as her partner was trying to get him off of her. This attack went on for several minutes,”  Chicago Police Supt. Eddie Johnson said during a press conference Friday.

Body cam footage appears to show Huff holding on to the officers hair, as other officers attempt to subdue him. Huff admitted in court Friday that he slammed the officer’s head into the pavement. She lost consciousness during the incident.

Johnson said the officer should have shot her attacker, but chose not to so her family and department would not face the kind of intense public scrutiny experienced by other officers who have shot people.

“She looked at me and said she thought she was going to die, and she knew that she should shoot this guy, but she chose not to because she didn’t want her family or the department to have to go through the scrutiny the next day on national news,” Johnson said.

Everything about this incident is disturbing, but what it suggests for law enforcement nationwide is terrifying.

The anti-police domestic terrorists of Black Lives Matter have law enforcement officers terrified to do their jobs.

Proactive policing is stopping nationwide. Officers are refusing to put themselves in situations where they could end up being the next Darren Wilson or Betty Shelby; harassed, terrorized, persecuted and prosecuted for doing exactly what they were trained to do.

Officers and deputies were “turtling up,” to lower their risk and exposure thanks to the so-called “Ferguson effect.”

Thanks to what I’m calling the “Kunzweiler effect”—a headlong rush to prosecute officers regardless of the evidence to avoid political terrorism—we’re going to see even less enthusiasm from officers to rush into uncertain situations.

Anti-police agitators are no-doubt giddy that officers are now cowed to the point that they will no long proactively police their communities. I somewhat suspect that their enthusiasm is going to wane when they call 911 and officers refuse to rush to the scene, and instead stage nearby until they can respond in significant numbers, many minutes later than the single nearest officer would have arrived in a “pre-Ferguson” world.

Will murderers, armed robbers, home invaders, and rapists commit their horrific acts of violence. and escape before officers roll in four-cars deep?

Almost certainly. In fact, we’re already seeing this develop in many communities. I’ve personally talked to officers who won’t respond to certain kinds of calls anymore without backup.

Sadly, this is the world we’ve chosen by validating the hysterical false narratives (“hands up, don’t shoot”) of Black Lives Matter, and by cravenly bowing to threats of riots with politicized prosecutions.

We have no one but ourselves to blame.
