Philly Shootout, The Gun Industry Speaks Out, Kurt Schlichter on Trump and Gun Control

On today’s program, Rich Zeoli of WPHT in Philadelphia joins me to discuss the shootout and standoff in Philly last night, and their calls for gun control even as the situation was unfolding. As Rich explains, these same politicians are endorsing and enforcing criminal justice policies that are putting violent offenders onto the streets instead of keeping them behind bars, all while demanding more gun control laws aimed at legal gun owners.

We also have a must-watch interview with Larry Keane of the National Shooting Sports Foundation discussing the firearm industry’s response to calls for gun control in the wake of the shootings in El Paso and Dayton; from “red flag” laws to “assault weapons bans” demanded by gun control activists, to the proactive work that the NSSF is engaged in with mental health professionals and law enforcement around the country.

Finally Townhall.com columnist Kurt Schlichter is on hand to talk about President Trump’s push for red flag laws and “improved background checks”, whatever that might mean.

Plus, we’ve got an armed citizen story from Virginia, another failure of the criminal justice system from Texas, and a good deed from Danville, Virginia.

If you’d rather listen to the show via podcast, we’re now available on iTunes, Spotify, Stitcher, and from the Townhall.com podcast page.  Thanks for listening and for spreading the word!
