Ammunition is a precious commodity these days, but gun owners who cast their vote for Democrat Joe Biden shouldn’t expect to find anything available from Michigan-based manufacturer Fenix Ammunition. The company is still producing ammo every day, but they’re also giving the cold shoulder to Biden voters by declaring them unwanted and unwelcome customers.
The ammo maker elaborated on its position in a series of tweets on Thursday, explaining that, while they’re perfectly willing to have a conversation with those who voted for Biden, they’re not interested in doing business with them.
First question – are we serious?
Yes, we are serious. Joe Biden ran on a campaign built on the most radical gun control platform a major party candidate has ever had, including banning the online sale of ammunition. Essentially, a plan to bankrupt our company.

Fact-check: True. Joe Biden’s campaign website clearly states that Biden plans to “end the online sale of firearms and ammunitions. Biden will enact legislation to prohibit all online sales of firearms, ammunition, kits, and gun parts.”
We have no problem talking to Biden voters and educating them on what they did, but they have to be willing to acknowledge their ignorance at the very least. We're not going to sit here and debate with you.
We're a 2A company and these are our first principles.

With demand for ammo far outstripping supply, Fenix Ammunition can easily afford to say “no thanks” to any Biden supporter wanting to buy their bullets, but I believe them when they say this is about first principles, and even if there was a financial burden to the company for sticking to this position, I think they’d do so.
Owner Justin Nazaroff is also sincere about talking to those Biden voters who are upset about the company’s policy. He says he’s had several conversations with would-be customers to explain where he’s coming from, but he’s not changing his mind on the issue. You don’t have to have voted for Donald Trump to buy your Fenix Ammunition, but if you voted for Joe Biden they don’t want your money.
Now, any Biden supporter who really wants to get their hands on some 9mm couid theoretically do so, as long as they’re willing to lie about who they voted for. It’s just a matter of checking a box on the Fenix Ammunition website, after all. The company’s not going to dig into voting records. Once they’ve agreed to the terms of service, however, they’re going to have be pretty quick, because Fenix is selling out just as fast as they’re able to produce their product.
100,000 9mm 115gr gone in 2 minutes.
100,000 9mm 147gr gone in 3 minutes.
100,000 9mm 124gr gone in 6 minutes.
See you in two weeks.

I saw someone on Twitter earlier this week wondering if the ammo shortage was the result of some government conspiracy to buy up all of the ammo. The answer is no.
What’s happening is simple: we had a historic run on firearms and ammunition beginning last March that has continued almost unabated ever since, and the industry simply hasn’t been able to keep up with demand. The National Shooting Sports Foundation estimates that nearly 9-million Americans became gun owners last year, and I’m guessing that 99% of them bought ammo when they purchased their first firearm. That, of course, is in addition to the millions of existing gun owners who’ve been stocking up when they can find a box or two on the shelves, even if they’ve already got a good supply at home.
No matter who you voted for last November, you’re probably going to be looking high and low to get ahold of any ammunition for the foreseeable future. Everyone I’ve spoken with in the firearms industry expects that demand will remain high for at least the next few months, and with Biden set to move on his gun ban plans in the next few weeks according to press secretary Jen Psaki, I think we’re going to see another surge in interest on the part of Americans; both current gun owners and those prodded off the fence by the Democrats’ attempt to curb their Second Amendment rights.
As for those gun owners, new and old, who cast their vote for Joe Biden; they may have had very good reasons in their mind, but they’re going to be living with the consequences when it comes to being able to protect themselves and their families. Not only in terms of the anti-gun legislation, regulations, and executive actions coming from the administration itself, but also in terms of the responding increased interest in buying, keeping, and bearing arms. That will keep store shelves bare and supplies of common calibers scarce even if Biden’s bills get tied up in the Senate.
