Korean Air Lines will now allow its crew members to “readily use stun guns” on unruly passengers, after singer Richard Marx criticized the airline for having an “ill-trained” crew.
On December 20, Marx helped restrain a man who was assaulting a stewardess on a Korean Air flight from Hanoi, Vietnam to Seoul, South Korea.
After the flight, Marx took to twitter to call out the airline for having an “ill-trained” crew.
You will be hearing about our flight#480 on @KoreanAir_KE . Passenger next to us attacked passengers and crew. Crew completely ill trained.

Marx’s wife and TV host Daisy Fuentes posted photos of the incident on her Instagram. Fuentes wrote that the crew was not prepared and “didn’t know how to use the taser, and they didn’t know how to secure the rope around him [the assaulter].”

Korean Air announced that it will also improve its crew members’ security training.
Marx tweeted in response to the news:
It's a start. https://t.co/lVNpthVN4K
