A Green Bay Police Officer Earns National Attention After This Pick Up

A Green Bay Police officer has attracted national attention for one simple act of kindness.

Last Monday, the department got a call from a local elementary school saying one of its students hadn’t been picked up at the end of the day. When Officer Darryl Robinson arrived at the school and learned that it was also the child’s birthday, he did what he could to make sure the kid enjoyed his special day.

Using coupons given to the department by a local McDonald’s, Robinson treated the child to a birthday dinner and then took him on a ride around.

The child was later returned to his family once they were located.

The Green Bay Police Department recognized Robinson in a Facebook post, which has since received thousands of shares.

Thank you, Officer Robinson, not only for serving your community, but for reminding us there are still decent people in this world.
