Houston Police Release Surveillance Video of Violent Home Invasion

Houston Police have released home surveillance video of a violent home invasion that took place on the city’s west side last month.

The incident happened May 19, 2017, on South Kirkwood Road and home surveillance cameras were rolling when five armed men and a driver pulled into the driveway in a blue Mazda SUV, exited the vehicle, and used large paver blocks to smash through the front door.

The homeowner, who was inside at the time of the incident, was hogtied and beaten by the men who spoke to each other in Spanish throughout the ordeal.

The victim’s wife told KHOU 11 News the suspects made off with cash, guns, their children’s belongings, and her husband’s Rolex watch.

“Finally when they left, I guess because they took (off) the hogtie, they went to take it with them off of his hand. (My husband) was able to get free and he ran to our neighbors and he called the police and he called me immediately,” she said.

Houston Police released the video Friday in hopes it will lead to the arrest of the suspects who committed this heinous crime.
