You would think a former PR rep would be a little brighter, but Shannon Watts’ attacks against the Second Amendment and her arch nemesis the National Rifle Association are pretty dim.
Trolling the NRA’s Twitter account this afternoon, Ms. Watts’ found another opportunity to open her mouth. In response to the shared article from The Washington Post, which used facts to support the piece titled “The Costs and Consequences of Gun Control,” Shannon then promptly inserted her foot:
Never mind that the article cites research conducted by the CATO Institute and speaks to the reality of gun control.
Never mind that the NRA works to promote gun safety through programs like Eddie Eagle GunSafe®, firearms training, and supporting hunters safety in America.
Never mind that the truth about how to stop violent crime is frequently spoken by NRA members and organization’s officers like Wayne LaPierre.
Never mind that it’s the NRA-ILA’s mission to preserve the right of all law-abiding individuals in the legislative, political, and legal arenas, to purchase, possess and use firearms for legitimate purposes as guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
Best of all, we should never mind that Ms. Watts takes her orders from someone who spends his wealth on elections in a bid to shatter our Second Amendment altogether.
Maybe Ms. Watts’ should educate herself before she talks. I suggest you spend a little more time researching facts about the NRA rather than trolling them, Shannon.
You sound ridiculous.
