According to their website, Camp Eagle has been ministering to folks of all ages for more than 30 years through summer camps, retreats, and specialized group events. One of those special events will be a concealed carry class this Saturday, March 26th from 8:30am-4pm.

The class, presented by Roanoke County Police Sergeant and owner of Jervis Firearms 101 Mark Jervis, not only takes a comprehensive look at firearms safety and range training, but promises to do so while adhering to his Christian faith.

Gun grabbers love to attack gun owners’ faith and even the Pope has said anyone involved with guns is a hypocrite if they call themselves a Christian. Understanding the biblical aspects of safety and protection as well as our responsibility to protect ourselves and our loved ones is a good thing to have a grasp of.

In Exodus 22, it says “If the thief is found breaking in, and he is struck so that he dies, there shall be no guilt for his bloodshed.”

Proverbs 25:26 says “A righteous man who falters before the wicked is like a murky spring and a polluted well.” As Larry Pratt observed in Law & Liberty, we would be faltering before the wicked if we chose to be unarmed and unable to resist an assailant who might be threatening our life.
