Parents Need to Teach Manners: Don't Ignore Adults, Especially Police

We keep saying how we want gun safety to be taught in schools. However, even though it would alleviate many senseless shootings, liberals refuse to acknowledge it and keep repeating the same ignorant rhetoric.

So fine, if we can’t teach kids not to point guns at anything they don’t intend on shooting, how about teaching them some manners?

Don’t ignore people who are speaking to you, it’s rude. That’s a basic lesson in manners.

Let’s take it a step further: When you ignore a police officer who is talking to you and you’re holding a gun, real or fake, and choose to run, it’s beyond rude – it’s called evading law enforcement and you’re going to be shot.

Is it really that hard?

Apparently it is, because another 13-year-old boy was shot in southeast Baltimore yesterday.

WMAR Baltimore reports:

Police Commissioner Kevin Davis said that the boy was a holding a replica handgun. He said it appeared to be a replica of a semi-automatic pistol.

He said that the police officers saw the boy and identified them as officers. The boy then ran away when approached by officers.

The boy has been transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive.

According to Davis, the boy’s mom is aware that the boy left the house with the replica firearm. She is being questioned by police.

Davis said that the department is investigating this incident.

Great parenting, there, mom. I hope she gets charged with her son’s shooting because she’s just as guilty as he is for this idiotic behavior.
