SHOCKER: Guess Who's Talking About Gun Control Again?

Collectively, we were holding our breath as Obama took to the podium to address the nation following the shooting in Dallas, TX last night during a Black Lives Matter protest which left 7 wounded and 5 dead in an attack on police officers.

But really, what did we expect?

Speaking from a NATO summit in Poland, the President of the United States condemned the “vicious, calculated and despicable attack” and assured Americans that “justice will be done” before steering his closing remarks back to the task at hand:

“We also know that when people are armed with powerful weapons, unfortunately it makes attacks like these more deadly and more tragic, and in the days ahead we’re going to have to consider those realities as well,” Obama said.

In an interview on Fox News this morning, former Governor Mike Huckabee had some strong words for the president, saying, “I think this is a time when real leaders bring people together, he doesn’t split them apart.”

“He doesn’t need to inject the divisive arguments like gun control at a time of great grief for the nation,” Huckabee continued. “And he ought to do for us what Ronald Reagan did after the Challenger disaster. And that’s remind us of what we have in common, not what separates us. And that’s why I’m always so frustrated. Barack Obama has such great potential to be a leader.”

But sadly, the only thing he’s leading is the movement of divisiveness through a systematic pattern of injecting gun control and racism into the homes of millions of Americans who are already on edge.

Huckabee said Obama’s focus should have been on “and solely on the police officers and the sacrifices of their family and leave all of the political discussions aside. There’s plenty of time for that. Today there’s one thing (that) ought to be on the president’s mind.”

He also reminded viewers that the “common denominator” is “not the weapon” – but the “anarchy in the heart of the person who’s committing the crime.”

Obama is like that cowbell skit with Will Ferrell – no matter what the subject is, he looks at it and says, “You know what this situation needs? MORE GUN CONTROL.”
