As a Woman and a Gun Owner, Here's Why I Can't Vote for Hillary

I am the daughter of an NRA member and avid hunter in rural Wisconsin. For as long as I can remember, my dad always had an NRA sticker on the back of his truck window and frequently talked to my sister and me about our duty as Americans.

“We have the Second Amendment in America,” my dad would say to us as we drove through the country. “But just because we have it now, doesn’t mean it’ll always be there. It’s up to you to protect it. You’ve got to do your part to protect our right to keep and bear arms. That means supporting politicians who will honor the Constitution and being the face of gun rights wherever you go.”

My father, now a town chairman and shooting his way through retirement on various hunting trips, is still the first person I call when I have to make a decision or am conflicted on anything. When it comes to the current presidential election, I am neither conflicted on nor questioning my decision to vote for Hillary Clinton.

I know that women of all walks of life; single, married, mothers, daughters, professionals, at-home-moms, rich and poor, will be casting their vote to make Hillary the first female President of the United States. As amazing as it should be to vote for a woman in the White House, as a woman and a law-abiding gun owner, I absolutely cannot vote for her.

Mrs. Bill Clinton is a criminal politician of the worst sort: she’s shown that she is willing to lie, cheat even threaten others to advance her own agenda.

The fact that she hasn’t been prosecuted for any wrongdoing doesn’t mean she isn’t guilty. Hillary may have escaped indictment for her involvement with the Whitewater scandal, but according to an April 24, 1998 memo, although prosecutors were “confident of the ultimate ground of our case — the factual guilt of the accused”, the odds of a conviction prevented them from going after her.

“These new Hillary Clinton prosecution memos are damning and dramatic,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “Hillary Clinton’s bank fraud, obstruction, lies, and other fraud began in Arkansas, continued in the White House and actually accelerated because the suicide of her friend Vincent Foster. The memos suggest that if she weren’t first lady, she would have been successfully prosecuted in federal court. As we continue the court fight to get the actual draft indictment of Hillary Clinton we first uncovered in this investigation, Americans would do well to read these memos. If you want to understand the deplorable ethics and corruption at the Clinton State Department, these documents provide important background.”

Shielded by the position of her philandering husband and fellow liar Bill Clinton, Hillary marched on, tromping from scandal to scandal – seemingly untouchable by the voters, the government or the press. No other politician, citizen or celebrity could put this many offenses behind their name and be allowed to continue on a rampage of lawlessness and depravity unchecked.

In addition to her proven track record of lawlessness, Hillary has vowed to come after me personally. In September 2015, Hillary, speaking to donors at a private event, said:

“I do not believe that the NRA represents most gun owners. They sure don’t represent the majority of Americans. But they have so intimidated elected members of Congress and other legislative bodies that these people are passing the most absurd laws.”

Sorry, Hillary, but the NRA does represent most gun owners. More than 5 million gun owners and Second Amendment supporters, to be exact. The NRA doesn’t have to intimidate anyone, they remind politicians that it is their duty to abide by and protect the Constitution. Like it or not, the Second Amendment is not optional. It is just as important, if not more important, than every other Amendment to the United States Constitution.

The fact that Hillary has declared war on more than 5 million American citizens should tip voters off that Mrs. Bill Clinton is more interested in advancing her political agenda than protecting your Constitutional rights.

That is not someone I’m able to vote for, regardless of her gender.

I’m Jenn Jacques – and I’m not only a voter, I am the gun lobby, Hillary.
