A North Lauderdale family was in their home on San Remo Boulevard when the two suspects forced the homeowner to open the door, then strongarmed the man to gain entry to the residence. Police say the men, one armed with an Uzi and the other armed with a handgun, forced the family into a downstairs bathroom where they were held at gunpoint.

Authorities said one robber was described as a heavyset black male, between 25 and 30, with facial hair. Deputies said he was wearing black pants and a black shirt and his head was covered with what appeared to be a shirt.

The victim told detectives that he was able to see that the robber was bald.

The second robber is described a black male, weighing about 150 pounds and between the ages of 25 and 30. He was also dressed all in black with a shirt over his head.

Police say the suspects made off with cash but have not reported the amount or if any possessions were stolen from the home. The family was not injured in the armed robbery.

Anyone with information about the home invasion is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
