Woman Who Cried Miscarriage After Gender Reveal Party Shooting Was Never Pregnant

I mean – fake news is one thing, but this is just absurd!

The woman who claimed to have lost her baby in a miscarriage after she was shot in the leg during her gender reveal party in a suburb of Cinncinati, OH., was never even pregnant, according to police.

“From the very beginning of this investigation, we have met significant resistance that is uncommon from victims of crime wanting a resolution,” police said.

Mark Denney, Colerain Township Chief of Police Chief, indicated that without concrete answers from the woman, his investigators have been left to speculate why the woman had claimed to be pregnant but did not expand on what the speculation may be.

AP News reports:

One person was killed and eight people, including three children, were wounded in the shooting when two men opened fire July 8 inside a home to learn the gender of the supposedly expectant mother’s child.

A 22-year-old Indiana woman, Autum Garrett, was the only person killed.

Investigators found an unloaded handgun in the front yard of the small, single-story home. It’s being examined at a crime lab, the police spokesman said.

The woman had alleged the death of her unborn child to several local news organizations before police discovered she was lying about the pregnancy.

Police do not have any leads to the gunmen nor can have they been able to identify a motive in the shooting. A $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case has been offered by an anonymous donor.
