Michael Moore, Piers Morgan Have Meltdowns Over Feinstein Gun Control Failure

As I wrote yesterday, Dianne Feinstein’s “assault weapons” bill is pretty much dead. Why? Harry Reid won’t bring it to the floor for a vote as part of a larger gun control package but has given Feinstein the option to offer the legislation as an amendment. Why? Because he couldn’t round up even 40 votes, which means a dozen Democrats (not just those evil Republicans) were planning to vote against it. Reid’s move to not bring the legislation to the floor caused CNN’s Piers Morgan, who has been using the Sandy Hook trajedy to boost his patheric ratings, to have a total meltdown on Twitter. He also whined about the NRA.

Then later, Morgan had Michael Moore on his show to discuss the issue where Moore called Harry Reid a “weenie” and even brought his grandkids into the conversation. As a reminder, Moore’s bodyguard was arrested in 2005 for carrying an unlicensed weapon in JFK airport.

Moore and Morgan argue that if we just ban “assault weapons” then there won’t be another mass shooting, which isn’t true. First of all, a 2012 report from the Department of Homeland Security specifically states that handguns are the weapon of choice for mass shooters, not semi-automatic rifles. Second, the Clinton-era Justice Department said the original ban on “assault weapons” did nothing to prevent mass shootings.

Keep grave dancin, boys. It’s totally working.
