Rep. Gosar Invites MagPul to Arizona

As a result of Colorado’s Democratic Governor John Hickenlooper signing sweeping new gun control laws into place, including a ban on ammunition magazines holding more than 15 rounds, magazine company MagPul Industries Corp. is looking for a new home. Arizona’s Republican Rep. Paul Gosar invited the company with open arms to the Grand Canyon State yesterday in a letter to the company’s Chief Operating Officer Doug Smith.

“I want to be the first to welcome you to consider your neighbor to the West, Arizona, to relocate your business. Arizona respects business creators and understands that the private sector needs supportive state and federal governments. Businesses and manufacturers do not need a government that attacks them, over regulates them, or tries to tax them out of existence. Arizona gets it. Arizona is perfect for Magpul,” Gosar wrote.

Gosar also gave Smith a long list of reasons why Arizona would be a good fit, including the fact that the state has a warm, dry climate, pro-gun politics, a shooting culture and already has gun companies like Ruger which call the state home. Gosar also offered to give Smith a personal tour of the district he represents to help find a new factory location.

“Thank you for considering Arizona and we are all looking forward to meeting with you,” Gosar wrote.
